Ireland needs to move to secure future energy supplies post-Brexit.
That’s the view of Fine Gael MEP for this region, Seán Kelly who was attending last night’s session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Mr Kelly says liquid natural gas is this country’s best bet but warns the Corrib gas field will only last for a relatively few years.
Ireland will then be completely dependent on the interconnector from the UK.
