Irish Water to contact homes in Carlow & Kilkenny affected by lead in water

Letters will be sent out from Irish Water in the next few weeks to local households affected by lead.

Homeowners in Dublin have already started to receive the correspondance from the utility warning them that their supply may be contaminated with unsafe levels.

Its estimated that around 200-thousand domestic properties in the country have lead.
