KCLR news understands a small number of animals remain at the puppy farm near Myshall that was served with a closure notice by Carlow county council last Thursday.
It followed a visit by their Veterinary Inspector who made subsequent visits to the premises over the weekend as hundreds of dogs were taken from the site.
A spokesperson for the council says enormous credit is due to the ISPCA for their efforts in removing and caring for the animals.
He also urged locals to support the associations current appeal to fund their operation as they bid to treat and rehome the dogs.
