IT Carlow students RAG week raises €10,000 for charities

IT Carlow Students Union say they don’t let negative publicity around RAG week stop them from doing their best each year.

Over €10,000 was raised by students in the local IT during this year’s Raise And Give week last week.

Next Monday they’ll officially be handing over the money to their three chosen charities, the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association and the Hope Cancer Foundation.

There has been criticism locally of some of the behaviour associated with RAG week in the town.

But Vice-President of Entertainment in IT Carlow students Union, Brendan Lambe told KCLR news they try not to let that bring them down.
