IT Carlow has been recognised as the leading aerospace education facility in the country.
The institution was given the Aviation Academic Education Award at the Irish Aviation Industry Awards last night.
It comes on the back of the launch of their new 5.5 million euro centre for aerospace engineering earlier this year.
Transport minister Paschal Donohoe was among those in attendance.
Speaking to KCLR, Head of the School of Engineering at the IT, Brian McQuaid says Minister Donohoe had high praise for the work they’re doing.
