A locally based Lebanese man says ordinary people are bearing the brunt of conflict in his native area.

Tensions have escalated after 12 children and teenagers were killed when a rocket hit their pocket of Golan Heights – the man believed responsible, Hezbollah’s senior military commander is understood to have been in a south Beirut building which was targeted last night, but it’s not yet known if he survived.

Guy Jones who set up the Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation and who lives in Kilkenny has been telling The KCLR Daily many innocents are suffering.

He and retired Major General of the Irish Defence Forces, Kilkenny man Kieran Brennan, joined our Una Ní Mhaoldhomhnaigh on The KCLR Daily;
