It’s a huge weekend of hurling on KCLR, with four live games coming your way, including the Kilkenny Junior semi-finals on Saturday and the Senior semi-finals on Sunday.
The Senior Championship action gets underway on Sunday at 2 o’clock, with Tullaroan taking on Bennettsbridge.
That’s followed at 4 o’clock by Ballyhale Shamrocks against Thomastown, with that game live on KCLR thanks to Gerry Comerford Drilling Limited.
With two places in the county final up for grabs, we asked KCLR Hurling Podcast host Mickey Walsh whether he expects the intensity levels to be high from the opening whistle.
“In the early stages of both matches, you are going to have that intensity. They are semi-finals, they are going to bring a lot of tension. It’s who can handle that situation the best.
“You would hope the hurling will be free-flowing, but I suppose it depends on conditions.
“All four teams want to get to a final, and they don’t mind how they get there.”
