Just 7% of Carlow drivers banned for being over the limit re-offend

21 percent of drivers disqualified for being over the legal limit re-offend according to figures published in Irish Country Living.

The report says an average of one in 5 motorists put off the road for drink driving have been banned at least twice.

Thats the national average though and Carlow falls well below that with just 7 percent of previously banned drivers re-offending.

The figure for Kilkenny is 18 percent.

Leitrim, Kerry, Donegal, Dublin and Monaghan are the worst -reoffenders according to figures from the Dept of Transport
