There’s been dramatic scenes in Carlow in recent hours, after a 13 year old girl got into difficulty in the River Barrow.
The situation escalated once the girl’s mother dove in to save her, but also began to struggle.
Heroic local man Miley Doran lept to the assistance of the two women, with all three safely making it to shore.
Ann Langton, the mother and grandmother of those involved has been praising him for saving their lives.
