Crowd-funding effort raises £7,500 to bring home body of Kilkenny man Kevin Kelly

£7,500 have already been raised by friends and family of a Kilkenny man killed in England to bring his body home.

Goresbridge man Kevin Kelly was killed in the UK following an altercation on the 1st of May on his way home from a night out.

Bedfordshire Police have confirmed to KCLR News that a 23-year-old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and he is still on bail pending further enquiries.

A fundraising night is being held in Maher’s pub in Goresbridge on Saturday to cover the cost of repatriation.

However, a crowdfunding page set up to help has already reached 75% of a £10,000 target.
