Kierans student is ‘one to watch’ at Young Scientists exhibition
A Kilkenny student’s project at the Young Scientists Exhibition has been picked out by the Irish Times as one of 5 to watch at this year’s competition.
Ben Lanigan from St Kieran’s College has a project in the Intermediate category called “Why pay for water if you can collect it free from the sky?
He’s developed a system that uses rainwater in radiators and toilets and saves the cost of using treated water.
5 Carlow and 19 Kilkenny groups are vying for one of 120 prizes that are up for grabs at the RDS and visitors are welcome until Saturday.
The overall winner will be announced later today.
