One of Ireland’s MEPs is urging Carlow and Kilkenny county Councils to use European funding to tackle the housing crisis.
Liadh Ní Riada met with the local authority in Carlow this week to show them how they could directly apply to the European Investment bank for money to build badly needed houses in the area.
Over €300 million has already been made available to the government but she says it’s not being used despite the worsening housing crisis.
The Sinn Féin MEP told KCLR news that the money’s there to be used for various developments.
