Kilkenny and Carlow Soldiers marching up High Street today as part of Ministerial Review

A group of soldiers from James Stephens barracks in Kilkenny are being inspected today ahead of their deployment overseas later this month.

Up to 32 soldiers from Kilkenny and 12 from Carlow join 88 others from the local barracks for a tour of duty to the Lebanon on the 17th of May.

160 in total from the 3rd Infantry Battalion will stand for a Ministerial review at Kilkenny Castle with a short ceremony in front of the building before marching up high street on route to the barracks at 2.45 this afternoon.
