A local tourist attraction and major landmark has been named amongst the top 10 places to visit in Ireland.
Kilkenny Castle was ranked at number 5 on popular travel site, Trip Advisor’s top 10 Irish landmarks for 2016.
The castle is the only local site on the list with Kilmainham Gaol topping the polls for the 4th year in a row.
Trinity College and Glendalough also feature in the top 10 which was compiled based on millions of reviews from TripAdvisor travellers – according to the website.
