Kilkenny charity shop appeals for your unwanted Christmas gifts

It’s estimated that 8 out of 10 of us here in Carlow and Kilkenny will have received a Christmas gift we don’t like.

The findings were part of an nationwide survey by Oxfam which found that 85 percent of adults would consider donating their unwanted gifts to a charity shop.

Oxfam’s Kilkenny shop is appealing for unwanted Christmas gifts to be donated to their store.

The survey found that clothes, toiletries and books top the list of unwanted gifts this Christmas. Other unwanted gifts include gadgets, jewellery and homewares.

Oxfam says its Kilkenny shop is in critical need of donations to help raise funds for the charity’s programmes including ongoing emergency response in Syria and South Sudan.
