Both sides in the ongoing controversy over the CAS project in Kilkenny city are set to come face-to-face at today’s Monthly meeting of Kilkenny county council.
The chamber is set to hear a motion from local councillors Malcom Noonan & Kathleen Funchion calling for a review of the project while a delegation from groups opposed to the plan are also set to address the council.
Last Friday the local authority gave protestors notice asking them to cease and desist from blocking access to the construction site or face a court order.
Owen Browne of the Complete the Ring Road group told KCLR that time is of the essence in altering the proposal.
