Kilkenny Dog Owners Warned To Keep Dogs on Leads as Lambing Season Approaches

Kilkenny County Council is reminding dog owners to keep their pets under control at all times.

It comes as lambing season is set to start in the coming weeks.

Dogs chasing, attacking or frightening sheep can result in serious injuries and pregnant ewes may miscarry due to the stress.

The advice is to keep dogs on leads, don’t let them roam, especially near farmland and to be aware you are legally responsible for any damage caused.
