31 children and young adults from Belarus will once again be arriving in Kilkenny this week.
Families from across the county will be opening their doors to welcome the group – some of whom are coming for the very first time.
It’s organised through the Kilkenny Chernobyl Children’s Outreach Group who take in children from Belarussian orphanages twice every year.
One of those involved, Carmel Everard, told KCLR News today that the visits do a lot for the health of the children.
