Kilkenny Gardaí renew appeal for man missing for two years today

Gardaí in Kilkenny have renewed their appeal for a man who went missing in Kilkenny City two years ago today.

Valerijs Zimecs was last seen on the Freshford Road at about 8am on Sunday the 1st of November, 2015.

The 47-year-old – who had been living in Carlow – was seen in the Emergency Department of St Luke’s Hospital on the morning he went missing.

However, it appears the Latvian-native then left the ED and was last seen at the Talbot Court housing estate on the Freshford Road.

Valerijs is described being 6” in height, stocky build and has black hair and he was wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt.

Gardaí in Kilkenny say the investigation is “still very much active” and they would be grateful of any information that anyone can provide on the matter.
