Gardai in Kilkenny are reminding motorists to ensure they have a proper licence if towing trailers.
Two motorists in Kilkenny will face court proceedings after they were intercepted by the Roads Policing Unit yesterday and were not allowed to continue on their journey as they didn’t have a proper licence to tow.
You must have a B and E licence to tow a trailer if you have a combined weight, with the vehicle, of over 3 and half thousand kilogrammes.
Gardai also say that if you are not properly licenced, you’re also not properly insured.
