Kilkenny to go "free" for a full day this month
Kilkenny is going FREE for a full day.
Some of the city and county’s top tourist attractions will open their doors on October 11th at no cost.
The very first Kilkenny Free Day will be celebrated on the 11th of October to coincide with the Feast of St Canice.
It will see free entry to some of the top tourist attractions in the city and county throughout the day like St Canices Cathedral, Kilkenny Castle, Jerpoint Abbey & Rothe House.
Public buildings like the fire stations, the Garda station, county hall & the Army Barracks will open their doors to locals.
The Reptile Village in Gowran, the Watergate, Dunmore Caves and Kilkenny Activity Centre are also on board while top crafts facilities Jerpoint Glass, Nicholas Moss pottery and Cushendale Mills will also offer tours.
