Kilkenny handballer Michael ‘Ducksie’ Walsh fighting for his life this morning

A source close to the family of Michael Ducksie Walsh has asked people to keep him in their prayers.

The Kilkenny handballing great is understood to be fighting for his life in hospital today after suffering a stroke on Saturday.

It happened as he was returning from a tournament in Kingscourt in Cavan.

He’s currently on life-support in hospital where his family and friends have been keeping vigil by his bedside.
