Kilkenny IFA: “Some night somebody’s going to pull a gun” if farm thefts aren’t stopped

“Some night somebody’s going to pull a gun” – the words of Kilkenny IFA Chair, John Bambrick.

He was speaking in relation to the increasing incidents of thefts from farms around the country – which he says have jumped dramatically in Carlow and Kilkenny thanks to the motorways.

It comes as the Irish Farmers’ Association, the Gardaí and Crimestoppers this week launched their new crime prevention campaign.

Speaking on KCLR’s Farm Show, John says someone is going to end up shot if something isn’t done quickly.
