Kilkenny man appointed to Olympic Council’s ‘crisis management’ team

A Kilkenny man has been placed on a three-person ‘crisis management’ team to investigate the Rio ticket scandal.

Robert Norwood is a former president of the Ski Club of Ireland and current president of the Snowsports Association.

He also sits on the Executive Board of the OCI along with Paulstown boxer, Darren O’Neill.

Over in Rio, a judge has authorised the seizure of FAI chief John Delaney’s passport – he’s one of 6 officials included in the warrant.

Pat Hickey remains in jail in Rio and is due in court tomorrow.

He’s facing up to seven years in prison if convicted of ticket touting.
