Two Kilkenny camogie stars played a key role as the University of Limerick secured the Electric Ireland Ashbourne Cup with a thrilling 3-10 to 2-11 victory over UCC at the Connacht Centre of Excellence.
St. Lachtain’s Sinead Farrell started in goal for UL, securing her second Ashbourne Cup medal, while Rower-Inistioge’s Caoimhe Keher Murtagh lined out at centre forward, contributing to a memorable triumph for the Limerick college.
Tullaroan’s Rachel Brennan was also part of the squad, taking her place on the bench as UL celebrated another success in the prestigious third-level competition.
