The Kilkenny Roots Festival is in full swing across the city this weekend.
It is the 28th staging of the bank holiday weekend event, which hosts over 40 Irish and international acts across more than 30 venues.
Local musician Elise Ramsbottom is among the performers taking to the stage at this year’s festival.
“The Roots Festival has been running for the last 28 years, so this is the 28th year of the festival and I am absolutely delighted to be part of it.” she said.
“I am a folk artist, but I definitely be one that’s bending the boundaries of roots music, and I have an amazing band backing me, and yeah, they’re just incredible, they’re working their butts off this weekend.
