Kilkenny in the running to retain 'Tourism Town' crown

Kilkenny is in the running to retain its crown as Failte Ireland Tourism Town of the year.

It’s been nominated in the shortlist for this years award but there’s a little twist as this year’s entries are being split up into two catagories: best Large town and best small town.

Kilkenny is up against; Killarney, Cobh, Westport, Trim, and Ennis.

All of the towns involved will be visited by a team of assessors who will judge the visitor experience.
