Kilkenny Section of South East Greenway Nearing Completion

Fourteen kilometres of the 24 kilometre South East Greenway is now considered either complete or substantially complete.

Meanwhile, detailed design for the nine kilometre section between Curraghmore and Ballyverneen is progressing.

The South East Greenway’s landowner liaison team is continuing to engage with impacted landowners along this 9km section before agreement can be struck on design layouts and accommodation works.

Meanwhile, the Greenway team is continuing to engage with Uisce Éireann and Kilkenny County Council regarding the completion date of the section of Greenway directly adjacent to the North Quays site.

It is hoped that the section leading to the Abbey Road Junction may be ready for opening in mid April.
