Thousands of people are expected to take to the streets of Kilkenny today for the Very Pink Run.
It gets underway at 12 noon.
A sea of pink is expected to take over Kilkenny city at lunchtime today as the annual Very Pink Run gets underway at Castle Park.
Participants taking on the 5K and 10K routes will set off from Kilkenny Castle at 12 noon, heading down Castle Road and Bennettsbridge Road before looping back along the Canal Walk, Gallows Hill, and Dukesmeadows, before finishing back at Castle Park.
Motorists can expect temporary traffic restrictions and delays in the vicinity of the route between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm today.
The organisers, Breast Cancer Ireland, are encouraging locals to turn out in force to cheer on the runners and walkers as they raise vital funds for cancer research.
