Enya Cox Dempsey’s heading to the Junior Eurovision in Madrid.
The 14-year-old from Castlecomer has been rising through the Irish selection process on TG4 and last night took the ultimate prize – the chance to represent Ireland at the contest in Spain next month.
Her renditions of Olivia Rodrigo’s Driver’s License, Arcade by Duncan Laurence as well as Le Chéile, the song she’ll perform for the ultimate final (watch below), were hailed for being on another level, esteemed Eurovision star Linda Martin praising her for the emotion she put into her performance and telling the young talent that if she was to start acting and dance lessons ‘you’re going to explode’.
Stay tuned to hear the reaction of Enya and her Mother Róisín Cox told of their excitement on The KCLR Daily earlier;
