A Kilkenny woman is facing Christmas in a foreign hospital this year.
Bridget told KCLR Live this morning that her 73-year-old mother, Ann, was on a dream cruise on the Caribbean when she suffered a serious heart-attack.
Ann isn’t well enough yet to be brought home to Thomastown from the hospital in San Juan in Puerto Rico.
There were concerns that the insurance company would not pay for her expenses and the family had set up a go-fund-me page.
However Bridget told KCLR Live this morning that after she contacted the station the insurance company have now agreed to cover the costs.
