Kilkenny woman Kathleen Funchion “vindicated” following former partner’s court case appeal outcome yesterday

Justice at last – that’s was the reaction from MEP Kathleen Funchion after her former partner saw his prison sentence for offences under Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act, or Coco’s Law, increased.

39-year-old Sean Tyrell of Cypress Grove, Loughboy, Kilkenny had previously pleaded guilty to the incidents in August 2022.

Yesterday, the sentencing was appealed by him and saw the judge increase the previous custodial sentence.
