Lack of public transport leaving people stranded in Co Carlow

A Carlow man says people are being left isolated in parts of Ireland because of a lack of public transport.
Johnny Matthews, who lives in Tullow, contacted KCLR to highlight the fact that no bus service would be running at all for an entire week from Christmas Eve onwards.
However, he says there’s also been no bus service from Tullow to Carlow on Saturdays for years, which is a huge problem for people like him who don’t drive.
JJ Kavanagh and Sons who run the bus services, have told KCLR it simply wasn’t feasible to continue running a bus at the weekend.
However, Johnny says the government should subsidise a service for Tullow.
