Large parts of North Carlow without water this morning
Those without water in Carlow this morning are expected to be reconnected to the system in the next few hours
Carlow County Council discovered a fault on the line between Rathvilly and Carlow at around 11 last night.
Crews have been carrying out work on the problem since midnight.
KCLR has been informed that some of those affected should have water back between 10 and 11 this morning.
It has been confirmed that a large part of Northern Carlow is affected, including half of Tullow, Carlow Town, Bennekerry, Palatine, Killerig.
Meanwhile, 33 customers around Bagenalstown are also without electricity, but are expected to be restored to power in the next two hours.
