Eoin Larkin says Waterford are the team of the year so far.
Kilkenny will play the Deise in Croke Park on Sunday week for a spot in this year’s All Ireland Final.
Derek McGrath’s team showed great form in winning the league and getting to a Munster final before putting away Dublin last weekend in the quarter-final.
Village man Larkin says that makes them the stand out side for him anyway.
He also says feels sorry for the likes of ken McGrath who’ve had to retire without winning a Celtic Cross, but although he’d love to see the Deise win an All Ireland in principle, he won’t be donating any of his or giving up the chance to claim another one.
