You have until tonight (Tuesday) to have your say on the Safe Routes to School Scheme for the Holy Family National Schools in a part of Carlow town.
In a bid to increase awareness of vulnerable road users, it’s proposed School Zones be installed in front of both the neighbouring primary schools in Askea.
The addition would see pencil-shaped bollards and colourful road markings added to the area to encourage motorists to slow down while parking on pavements would be prevented and there would be safer drop-off points.
Submissions can be accepted until midnight via consult.carlow.ie or you can email [email protected] with the subject line clearly noted as “SRTS Askea National Schools – Section 38”.
