A late goal saw Kilkenny through to the Leinster semi finals of the Under 21 hurling championship last night.
The Cats stunned an impressive Dublin side at Parnell park with the 60th minute Mark Mansfield point attempt that dropped short and caught out Sean Brennan in goal for the Dubs giving Kilkenny a 2 point win.
4-12 to 2-16 it finished in favour of Brian Ryans men who have now set up a semi final meeting with Carlow in Netwatch Cullen park later this month.
5 of the Kilkenny squad will now sit down to the Leaving cert today.
Jason Cleere, Liam Blanchfield, Conor Delaney, Evan Cody and substitute Luke Scanlon are all facing into exams following the win.
