Leighlinbridge is the Best Kept Town in Ireland

Leighlinbridge is celebrating today after collecting the award for Irelands Best Kept Town yesterday.

A welcome cash boost of 5 thousand euro is part of their prize – half of that is for winning their category with the rest for being crowned overall winners in Farmleigh house yesterday.

The town has a great performance record in tidy towns and other competitions in the past.

Chairperson of Leighlinbridge Tidy Towns John Meaney says the prize fund will be put to very good use.
