The National Transport Authority has recommended a new Public Service Obligation status which will safeguard the Expressway Route 4 service running through Counties Kilkenny and Carlow.
The service had been set for withdrawal on May 24th and this decision had provoked huge concern among communities on the route, including Mullinavat, where a public meeting about the issue was held on Wednesday night.
Speaking to KCLR News, Fianna Fail TD Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere said he was very satisifed with this development.
