The Freemasons have long been seen as a highly secretive, world-wide society.
With a history stretching back hundreds of years, their meetings and traditions have often been viewed with plenty of suspicion.
In Carlow at the moment there are 55 members.
One of those members, Arthur Keppel, recently gave MaryAnn Vaughan a tour of their Carlow premises, Lodge 116.
