A grant of over 70,000 euro for 3 local centres is being welcomed by those involved with them.
Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre and Danesfort Community Care Centre will each receive 19 thousand euro, while St Canice’s Community Action will be getting twice that at 38,000.
However, Stephen Murphy from St Canice’s says that they are still faced with raising in the region of 15 to 17 thousand euro themselves.
But speaking to KCLR News, Stephen says this funding will help secure the future of the centre.
