A local councillor says they hope the refugee families being resettled here will be welcomed with open arms.
A total of 25 to 30 families will be re-homed in areas around Kilkenny between the start of December this year and this time next year.
The county council have announced they’re looking at Urlingford, Piltown, Graiguenamanagh, Rosbercon, Callan and Ferrybank as possible destinations.
Speaking to KCLR, Ferrybank Councillor Melissa O’Neill says they will be helped to integrate here.
