A local dairy farmer says calling for the resignation of the IFA President may not be the answer to the current difficulties within the association.
The IFA hit the headlines late last week when General Secretary Pat Smith stepped down in light of calls for his salary to be made public.
It emerged at a special meeting on Friday that his pay and pensions package totalled 445 thousand last year and exceeded 500 thousand in 2013.
There has been pressure now from some quarters for the President Eddie Downey to step down.
But Kilkenny farmer Brian Roche told KCLR Live that might not be the answer.
