A local Fianna Fail Councillor is calling on other party Councillors to support a 15% reduction in property tax.

The call from Councillor Fintan Phelan comes ahead of a Carlow council meeting on Monday.

The Councillor says that the argument from government that Carlow would have to be subsidised by the rest of the country does not stack up.
