Its been a good week for local food producers.
Apart from the Gold medal won at Blas by Goatsbridge Trout farm for their paté, several others in Carlow and Kilkenny were honoured for their produce.
Seerys Bakery in Carlow won Gold, Silver and Bronze in Dingle for their Christmas Puddings while Sunshine Juice won best in county aswell as Bronze for its Aldi orange juice.
The Chocolate Garden of Ireland won Best in Farmers market in Carlow sponsored by the local Enterprise office.
In Kilkenny Mileeven won Silver for its Irish Whiskey Cream, there was Silver for Second Nature Oils for its organic Rapeseed Oil and a Bronze for Mooncoin home preserves for its pickled beetroot.
