Local house prices still on the rise

Local house prices continue to rise.

The latest survey from Myhome dot ie shows a rise of 7.2 percent in Carlow in the past 3 months and 4.5 percent in Kilkenny.

The average prices of a 3 bed semi in Carlow is now at 119 thousand euro – thats down more than 54 and a half percent from the peak though.

In Kilkenny 139 thousand is the average price – thats down 52 point 3 percent since the boom.

The increase in some neighbouring counties has been smaller though with a rise of just 2 percent in Wicklow and 1.7 in Wexford.

Theres no change in Waterford and Laois is down more than 5 percent.
