Locals are being asked what we should do with St Canice’s Hospital in Kilkenny.
A consultation process is underway on the future of the 50-acre site in the city.
The county council and the HSE are working together to come up with a masterplan for the campus.
An information webinar was held last night and public submissions can be made before 5pm on July 30th either online at consult.kilkenny.ie or by email to [email protected].

There’s a few different viewpoints I’ve heard from people who are coming, we’ll say, from a history of mental health services in Ireland who believe the building should be raised to the ground. And then I’ve heard other people saying that the building would be a fantastic university”
