Local LEADER group says funding does not guarantee future

A local LEADER group sayS recent government funding in no way guarantees their stability into the future.

Kilkenny Leader Partnership were speaking after local Junior Minister Ann Phelan’s recent annoucement of in excess of 14 million euro for Carlow and Kilkenny.

This figure is down from 21 million euro in funding for 2007 to 2013.

Junior Minister Phelan had told KCLR that this funding guarantees LEADER’s future survival but Declan Rice says this is not the case.
