Local man thanks public for their support following interview about depression

Chubby Brennan says the support he’s received since speaking about his struggles with mental health has been overwhelming.

The Castlecomer man, who ran a business in the town until the recession hit, on Monday urged other men not to be afraid or embarrassed to seek help if they’re feeling down.

He says it wasn’t until he sought help and talked to someone that he overcame his own depression.

Speaking to KCLR, Chubby says the reaction he’s got has been phenomenal.
