Local Older Persons’ Forum say St Luke’s Hospital needs work to be made ‘age friendly’
Efforts are underway to make St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow/Kilkenny ‘Age Friendly’.
A walkability study was carried out by the Carlow & Kilkenny Older Persons’ Forums in September this year.
The recommendations from that study are now being analysed to see what can be done at the local acute hospital.
Joe Butler is chairman of the Carlow branch, he told KCLR that they’re working well towards the final goal of an ‘age friendly’ hospital.
